A wealth of new details and screenshots for Team Ninja’s upcoming re-release Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge have been released. Tecmo has revealed that the game will contain more than 100 challenging trials to complete in the ninja trial mode. This is the greatest number of challenges the series has seen to date. New additional weapons for main character Ryu include the dual Dual Swords, the Lunar Staff and the Kusari-Gama, all of which have appeared in older Ninja Gaiden titles.

Ryu will also have access to new Ninpo skills, such as the classic Piercing Void and the new Cicada Surge attacks. With tons of new features, weapons, skills, trials and even new playable characters, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is primed to be the complete version of Ninja Gaiden 3. A playable demo of the game is available now.

Razor’s Edge will be available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on April 5th. View the new screens below.
