Yesterday’s rumor has turned out to be a true leak; Square Enix has today officially confirmed that Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut is in development for the Nintendo Wii U. The game will include a variety of new features, such as integration with the console’s GamePad (it will be used for throwing grenades and hacking, among other things) and Miiverse, as well as completely overhauled boss fights. The game will also include both the “Missing Link” and “Tong’s Rescue Mission” DLC missions.
Considering the boss fights were the most criticized component of the original game, the overhaul may be an incentive for even fans who’ve already played Human Revolution to pick up Director’s Cut. Those interested in getting up close and personal with the game should head to PAX East, which will be taking place in Boston this weekend. The game will make its public debut there. Square has not confirmed the previously leaked May 7th release date.
