Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and Final Fantasy XI Getting Smartphone Security Token Software

Square Enix is gearing up for the launch of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and continuing support for Final Fantasy XI, and soon players are going to get a new security tool to keep their accounts safe.

Early April will see the introduction of a new downloadable application for iOS and Android devices that will basically work like the old physical security tokens many of us already have, generating one-time password that will make hacking into our accounts a lot harder.

According to the publisher details on this “Square Enix Software Token” will be announced at a later date, but the announcement is definitely good news for those of us that still didn’t have a physical one.
