Remember the lovely little Pokémon-ghost-meet-boy JRPG by Level 5 Youkai Watch? Today we got a new nice batch of screenshots and info from the developer that gives us a new glimpse on the 3DS game scheduled to hit the Japanese shelves on July the 11th.

We get to see one of the main quests titled “Lost and found“, in which our young protagonist will have to bring a forgotten document to the station where his father waits for the delivery. We also learn that the titular ghost watch that is the key to the main theme of the game will actually work literally like a key, opening up locations hidden behind a “watch lock”. The catch is that in order to unlock those locations players will have to level up their watch past a certain threshold.  In order to do so, they’ll have to complete quests given by the watch maker.

What would a game centered on ghosts be without a haunted mansion? Of course Youkai Watch has one, named “Ruined Mansion in the Bamboo Forest”, that will serve as one of the dungeons of the game and is also portrayed in the screenshots below. It’ll be full of ghosts and secret passages to explore.

We finally get to meet three new and rather…interesting bosses. It’s kind of hard to describe them without sounding like a complete fool, so I’ll let you check out the gallery below and see for yourself.
