PS3/Vita JRPG The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki Gets New Characters and an Airship

We’re about three months away from the Japanese release of Nihon Falcom’s upcoming JRPG for PS3 and PS Vita The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki, and the software house just released more screenshots and information for our perusal.

We get to meet four new characters: Prince Olivart, also known as “The Prodigal Prince”, is the first born son of the emperor, but he’s also illegitimate, so he abandoned any claim to the throne. He also couldn’t care the less about it, as he prefers to avoid that kind of constriction. He’s very popular in social circles and with the media and a former student of the Academy’s headmaster Van Dyck. He’s 27 and his voice is performed by Takehito Koyasu.

Misty is a journalist, and the presenter of a popular Sunday night radio show. She has gained quite a lot of listeners thanks to her witty and pleasant attitude on air, and she even has a fan club. She basically behaves like an older sister, but she likes to be a little mischievous when she occasionally meets the protagonist Rean. She’s 24 and she’s voiced by the popular Yukari Tamura.

Irina Reinford is Alisa’s mother and chairman of the Reinford Group. She took the helm of the conglomerate five years ago succeeding to her father. She’s the one that decided to enroll Alisa in the academy. She’s 40 and her voice actress is Yuuko Sumitomo.

Sharon Kruger is the maid and appointed landlady of the Third Student Dormitory (where the protagonists reside) at the Academy. She used to be a maid at the Reinford’s house, but apparently she was directed by Irina to move to the Academy. She’s an excellent cook and always takes care of Rean with kind gestures and a gentle approach and she’s basically like an older sister to Alisa. She always seems to be in the right place at the right time. She’s 24 years old and voiced by Yukana Nogami (the most well known of the bunch, having voiced for instance C.C. in Code Geass and Tear in Tales of the Abyss).

In addition to the new characters we get to see a few screenshots of the “capital of steel” Roulet, main city of the Northia state, home of many factories and of the prestigious Roulet Institute of Technology. We also see the nearby Saxony Iron Mine, administered by the Reinford Group, having served as the mining backbone of the Empire for more than 200 years by sending its ore to Roulet’s smelting plants.

Finally, what would a JRPG be without its very own airship? The screenshots feature the high-speed cruiser Corageous, built under the sponsorship of prince Olivart and the world’s fastest airship. You can bet it’ll play a central role in the game.

Below you can see a gallery with all the screenshots and artwork released today. The game looks better by the moment, and we can only hope to see a localized release down the line.

But we’re still waiting for the sequel to Trails in the Sky in NA. TitS was only the best RPG released since FF6. T_T

I really want this game, forget the rest of the series since we’ll never get them due to the psp being dead. Shame because I really wanted zero and Ao.
