Bravely Default’s Western Release Will be Based on “For the Sequel” Enhanced Edition and Will Have Dual Audio

The 3DS JRPG Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is scheduled to get a western release in 2013 in Europe and in 2014 in North America, but it’s also getting an “enhanced edition” aimed at gathering consensus for a sequel and unimaginatively named “For the Sequel” this December in Japan.

Since the announcement of For the Sequel many western gamers have been wondering if the localized version would be based on the original game or on the enhanced version. For once looks like things are going our way, as Square Enix just officially confirmed that the localization will indeed be based on For the Sequel, giving us the access to all the additional goodies that will come with it.

As a spiffy additional tidbit of information we also learn that the western version of the game will have dual audio, letting us chose between English and Japanese audio.

For once we don’t get the shaft. That’s something to celebrate for sure.
