Nagoshi Confirms that Information on Yakuza Ishin Will Come on the Day of Sony Japan’s PS4 Conference

A few days ago Japanese talent and model Ayana Tsubaki dropped hints on the possibility of the unveiling of the platform for the upcoming spin-off of the Yakuza series Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin on the 9th. Legendary Yakuza Producer Toshihiro Nagoshi just made a statement on his personal blog saying that indeed hear more information on that date, which is the  same day of the conference in which Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia is expected to unveil the local release date of the PS4.

The venue of the Olympic Games will be determined Sunday, but Monday we’ll give you some super up-to-date information on Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin!

What will that “super up-to-date” information be? Most probably he’s indeed talking about the still unannounced platform on which the game will run, and the fact that the info will come on the same day as Sony’s PS4-focused conference can pretty much mean only one thing. We’ll have to wait for Monday to hear a confirmation, of course, but I would say the possibility is quite solid.

Sony’s press conference is scheduled to kick off on Monday, September the 9th at 3 PM Japan Time (2 AM EDT).

That seems to be one SEGA I.P. on PS4, and if the rumours are true, there is still one more SEGA IP that will be exclusive to the PS4, the question is what it could be.

A new Yakuza game on PS4 will sure help the system sell units in Japan, but I will say the PS4 needs more Japanese games, it has a great set of games coming so far, but not all of those games will appeal to Japanese gamers.

all i hope for is Shenmue 3 or HD Colleciton!!

though it has a high chance that Virtua Fighter 6 might be the one.

since this year is the 20th Anniversary and it’s been awhile since VF5FS came out.

worldwide release with proper marketing the franchise deserves!

I don’t want to over hype myself or anyone else here, but I hope for maybe a Co-Development between SEGA and Japan Studio on a new Valkyria Chronicles, or a new I.P. for the PS4.

If this does indeed happen… (insert outrageous indescribable act here). Need to keep hopes down ._.

Wait the rumor is multiple Sega games? Awesome maybe Powerstone.

      • Dollow Rlance

Power Stone is Capcom, not SEGA.

        • PhantomVash808

Your right but I still hope to see another Powerstone.

  • PhantomVash808

I called this but than again this being shown at Sony’s conference was a no brainer.
