PS4 Exclusive Deep Down Gets New Screenshots Showing… A Modern Apartment

We’re used to see screenshots of the PS4 exclusive Deep Down showing dragons, knights and moldy dungeons, but today we get to see something entirely different.

Sony Computer Entertainment released two screenshots that have nothing to do with the game’s usual dungeon crawling, but instead show the futuristic setting ¬†of New York in 2094 and what’s probably our base of operations there.

Check them out just below for a taste of (relatively) near future luxury living. One thing is for sure: I find the designers’ taste in furniture definitely agreeable.

The new PS Home for PS4?

Home will quietly die a slow death as more and more PS3 gamers upgrade to PS4. Mercifully, Home is not continuing on the PS4.

You say that as if people will just be getting rid of their PS3s and never playing them again.

        • CCM

No, I’m not saying that at all. Since the PS4 is not backward compatible with the PS3, many people (including myself) will keep their PS3’s connected to their TV’s. What I am saying is when those users fire up their PS3’s, Home would be the last thing they would want to use. Also, I could see Sony ending all updates/support for Home shortly after the PS4 launches. Sure you will still be able to open it, but it’ll simply cease being nothing more than a slow-loading, buggy money pit Sony actually loses money on filled with male gamers walking around hitting on female avatars who are actually 75% male gamers posing as female gamers.

The people who spend so much time in Home now are likely to spend- if not just as much- not much less even after the PS4 comes out. Since there’s no replacement on PS4, why would they just quit? I mean, did people who spent buttloads of time playing FFXI just quit playing once the PS3 came out?

You seem bothered by people’s avatar choices. Have you hit on someone you thought was a female, only to be disappointed? My condolences, but that’s the risk you take, right?

Oh, and by the way, Home makes Sony quite a bit of money. I’m not gonna do the homework for you, but a quick Google search will tell you that.

I’ve read otherwise. Seen it on a list of free-2-play games that are coming to PS4 but I don’t know whether they were assumptions or actual announcements. The Home icon, although you can only see a quarter of it, is clearly seen on the PS4 OS menus.

Anyhow, it might be better to do a search rather than debunk it altogether.

What a beautiful fictitious apartment! Look at the view of the city at night!
