Nintendo has announced that the Wii U will finally come to Brazil on November 26th, included in the 32GB bundle with New Super Mario Bros. and New Super Luigi U. The catch? The bundle will cost over 800 USD.

The price is R$ 1899 (about $829). Games for the system will go for R$ 179-R$ 199 ($77-87). The system will be available for pre-order starting this Friday at midnight. Below is a chart of the price discrepancy between Brazil and other countries relating to the Wii U (the prices are all listed in Brazilian currency).

    I’m glad I don’t live in Brazil.

      You’re missing out.

Sounds like the Brazilians are as well. Hey-oh!

This is common knowledge for technology. Phones TVs all these things cost more depending on what country.

          This is hardly news.

    >< why must you be so pricey to live brazil???? worth noting that the normal monthly salary is almost R$700.00

Oh wow, you’d think they would cool it on the taxes then but damn…

That is too wide an average. You’re taking the highest paygrade and averaging it with minimum.

WiiU is coming to Brazil AND will cost the EQUIVALENT of $800.

Thank you for your help, but I used “but” on purpose. :)

        I know. Just my interpretation.

Stop using but. He have a butthurt

That kind of money is pretty normal for tech in Brazil. I personally wouldn’t shell out that much for a Wii U though.
