Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has revealed that the first piece of single-player downloadable content for their recent comic book-inspired action-adventure game, Batman: Arkham Origins, will be available next month.
The DLC will be entitled “Initiation” and will center on a Young Bruce Wayne’s life as he trains with the League of Assassins prior to becoming Batman. This is very similar to the first third of Christopher Nolan’s 2005 film, Batman Begins. It also bears a resemblance to the upbringing of Bruce Wayne’s son, Damian Wayne, who trained extensively with the league and his mother, Talia Al Ghul, before his arrival in Gotham City.
Initiation will feature new challenges and will be the first of its kind to contain a narrative of sorts. It is scheduled to be released next month presumably for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii U.
Batman: Arkham Origins was developed by WB Montreal and published by WB Interactive Entertainment.
