PlayStation Plus Users Can Now Get Final Fantasy XIV for 10 Bucks on NA PSN, Will Upgrade to PS4 Version For Free

If you’re planning to play Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PS4 and you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber in North America, this could be the best chance you have to get your hands on a copy of the game.

The PS3 version of Square Enix’s lovely Final Fantasy MMORPG is on sale witha  50% discount for PlayStation Plus account holders on the North American PSN until December the 31st.

This means that the standard edition will cost you only 10 bucks, while the digital collector’s edition costs $15.

The sweetest part of this all (besides the fact that it’s a great game) is that the PS3 version will upgrade to the PS4 version for free when it’ll release in April, meaning that you’ll be able to purchase the game now with a large discount and then switch to Sony’s new console without any additional expense, instead of getting it for its full price then.

If you are at all considering the PS4 version, grab it on the PS3 now for $10 because it definitely wont be less than that and you get a free upgrade.

i hope they release a limited edition retail version for PS4.

i would rather get that instead tbh!

  • Is it still free for the first 30 days before you have to start paying monthly?

    • Buff Troll Baby

      Yes it is

Not paying a monthly fee to play a game.

      That’s totally your choice.

I already have this on the PC (absolutely loving it btw) and I bought the PS3 version now since I would get the extra 30 days of game time (which basically makes it a $5 discount off the monthly fee plus a free PS3 version). I can’t believe how much worse it looks on the PS3. I’m an everything gamer, I love games, I play on all consoles, handhelds and PC. I’ve never noticed this much of a graphical disparity before. Seriously.
