Neil Druckmann and Darby McDevitt Among Writer’s Guild of America Awards Nominees

The nominations for the 2014 Writer’s Guild of America Awards have been announced, the complete list can be found below. The nominations encompass games such as The Last of Us, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Batman: Arkham Origins, God of War: Ascension, and Lost Planet 3.

Games like Gone Home, BioShock Infinite, The Stanley Parable, Grand Theft Auto V, and Papers, Please are surprisingly absent. That is bound to surprise a few people – myself included.

The Writer’s Guild of America’s 2014 Awards ceremony are scheduled to be held at 9pm EST in the JW Marriott L.A. Live in Los Angeles, CA.

    Finally started playing the The Last of Us; a damn good game; still in the first chapter though.

    I have to admit that it has the best game intro that I ever played, I actually felt sad for Joel by the end of the intro.

    Assassins Creed writers who keeps convoluting the series even further?

    and no, GTA V story wasn’t anything special. it’s the presentation that probably impresses the peple, but the series had never had strong story to begin with.

    I hope Niel wins, just because of the shit that is rumored to be going down by those people that haven’t been with the company for long. You know the ones where all these articles keep getting reported one thing then something else. :D
