Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Both Hit 3DS/Wii U Virtual Console

Nintendo has announced two new additions to the Virtual Console: Mario Bros. for 3DS eShop and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for Wii U eShop.

While the original Mario Bros. game is quite nostalgic and excellent in its own right, I’m especially excited for A Link to the Past, as that was my first (and favorite) game in the franchise. Both trailers have been posted below.

What I wouldn’t give to have A Link to the Past on the 3DS eShop – I was so excited when I read the headline, but so disappointed when I read it isn’t on 3DS =(

I read that headline as LTTP for 3DS as well, i can’t believe Nintendo has floundered so long getting one of their most loved games on it’s current consoles. Zelda: LTTP should have been the first release for 3DS eshop for crying out loud.

I’m not exactly sure why it isn’t, technically it should have been there a long damn time ago…If nothing else with a link between worlds they really have no excuse for it not to be available
