Is there any chance of this game coming out with a western release?

    • Small chance 🙁

Sony should of bought the video game rights for the anime since A-1 picture animated the show which is owned by Sony Music Japan but I guess Bandai Namco gave a better deal to Reki Kawahara.

Bandai Namco have been good lately with its releases. Sony should try and help get this out since the anime is popular, I reckon this game would sell reasonably well.

Is this MMORPG, since there is “online” in the name ? o.O

Sword Art Online is the name of the anime from which this is from, which is based on a fictional MMORPG. But no, this is a single player JRPG with 4 player co-op on top.

Correction, based on a manga that tells a story of people stuck in and playing a very nice MMORPG.

That being said, I will pay a large sum of money for that headset and being able to play such a game. And I really mean it 🙂

Sword Art Online is a light novel series about 10.000 players being trapped in the MMORPG called Sword Art Online

  • Will be importing this! I love SaO ( Sword art online). One of my favorite animes

come on everyone we need to get it out there to Namco Bandai that we would like not only this game but a single player or mmorpg game of sword art online released on all consoles an also for it to get published in the west I feel like they wont release 1 because they don’t think theres a big enough fan base for it
