The last time we got a look at Juggernaut Games’ space-themed dungeon crawler RPG StarCrawlers, we saw a game that encouraged players to steal, smuggle and hack their way across the stars in order to survive (and get paid). Now the team is back, with a brand new Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign from two of the game’s creators.
As you can see in the Kickstarter video below (hosted by Juggernaut’s co-designers Asa Enochs and George Cochrane), StarCrawlers is a first person perspective old school dungeon crawler, which sets players in the worn boots of a band of mercenaries that can be chosen and shaped however the player sees fit. These hackers, ninjas and soldiers will take jobs to loot ships, raid facilities and uncover mysteries.
As I said in my last post, it’s extremely rare to see a science fiction dungeon crawler, which is what drew the team to creating StarCrawlers into the game it is today ( a far cry from the more traditional fantasy project they originally set out to create). The game game has reached the end of its alpha phase, and now the team needs your help in polishing the game into something even better. To add further incentive, Juggernaut is looking to feature user-created content in their game, something which backers will be a large part of.
StarCrawlers is currently just below $11,000 of its $65,000 goal, with 29 days to go. If you like the project, please lend your support to the Juggernaut team by backing the project on its Kickstarter Campaign page and getting the game on Steam via Steam Greenlight.
