Here’s How the PS4 Version of Final Fantasy XIV Looks on the PS Vita in Remote Play: Quite Awesome

One of the most touted features of the PS4 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is the full support of remote play on the PS Vita, and today the Japanese press shared quite a few picture on the feature.

You can check out the pics below, courtesy of Famitsu, Dengeki Online, Gamer, and 4Gamer. Interestingly enough,Dengeki Online reports that he managed to clear the Bomb Queen’s and Titan’s Hard Mode battles on the Vita despite the slight lag. He admits he wiped once on Titan, but anyone that knows how much that fight relies on movement and quick reactions will probably be quite surprised (In fact the reporter from Gamer didn’t fare as well as his colleague and didn’t manage to win).

In the first picture of the gallery you can also see the feature to assign the four corners of the back touch pad to different buttons. All the reporters that wrote the articles linked above were impressed by the look of the game on the small screen of the vita, and judging from the pics below, it’s not too surprising.

Can’t tell if that’s Titan HM or EM from that screenshot but if you can beat either one via Remote Play, can’t be too bad!

      It’s HM. EM has 4 people. That’s a 8 people level 50 party 😀

EM = extreme mode, also 8-person, easy is story mode these days

        • Giuseppe Nelva

oh no. I seriously doubt it was extreme. Single landslide.

Nice concept but the text is way too small and there’s the clutter of the UI on such a small screen so this seems impractical but interesting.

The high resolution keeps the text very crisp and void of bluring edges so it is smaller due to the higher resolution but very clear and legible on every game i have used Remote play for.. Although, i have 20/20 vision so i don’t know how well other fair.

I’d be happy if they turned it into a second screen for the game, maybe something that handled inventory and the map
