Watch_Dogs Might Get a Release Date and a Trailer Very Soon, as Leaked by Official PlayStation Site

Today something very interesting appeared on the official PlayStation competitions website. To be more specific, it was a link to a “new trailer” that should include the release date for Watch_Dogs, as discovered by Twitter user TuCk, relayed by NeoGaf user Ekim.

As you can see in the picture at the bottom of this post, the text accompanying the trailer was:

Watch_Dogs is on its way…

Find out the release date in this new trailer.

The box has now been removed, but it’s still possible to see it via Google cache (at least until Google refreshes it).

Most probably someone pressed a button too early, and then the box was hurriedly removed as soon as the mishap was discovered, but not before the internet registered its presence.

The announcement will very possibly come soon, though, as the game’s Product Manager David Thériault tweeted some rather teasing messages between yesterday and two days ago.

We don’t know when the trailer will actually be published, but of course we’ll keep you updated as soon as it happens.

So nobody saw the actual trailer? And the releasedate?

    • Giuseppe Nelva

Nope. The link just redirected to the same page when it was discovered. The code wasn’t complete.

So, it may just be a matter of days now, or even hours.

I wonder what the date will be.And also it would be cool if both xbox one and ps4 has the same res so no body can fight over what game look better on what system.I own a xbox one and i enjoy it for what it is worth.I am sure ps4 is just as good .But for right now ps4 does not have the game’s i want that are not out yet.And i can find a ps4 what so ever everyone is sold out or they tell be backed up in pre order’s lmao it’s really funny when you think about it.people are going nut’s over this ps4 .when they can just go out and buy a xbox one that is really the same.

I’ll agree with you about 720p and 1080p (seriously, who can make the difference while playing ?), BUT 30 fps and 60 fps are like day and night. The only game that makes this difference on PS4 and Xbox One is Tomb Raider Definitive Edition (as far as I know), and the frame rate difference is more than perceptible. I’m not saying “this system is better blablabla”, I do not like the so called “war” between each company’s fanboys, but… the difference is here.

Can’t wait for this game myself it’s been one of my most anticipated games since I heard about it. I actually pre ordered it with my PS4 before it got delayed. I see the PS4 version being 1080p 30fps and the Xbox one version being 900p 30fps so there won’t be much difference. I don’t know what the exclusive content the PS is getting but I heard that it is. I don’t see many open world console games being 1080p 60fps though MGS GZ is on PS4 but that’s basically a demo will The phantom pain be? Let’s see.

Its about time. I’ve kepy my mouth shut about being anxious for a new killer big budget game. But deep down i cannot freaking wait.

  • This game’s hype is dead… Sad, but that’s what happens when you cockblock someone so close to the release date. (Also, this game has been talked about for going on 3 years… It’s about time that we start getting some “solid” information.)

Dead? The hype has been frozen. Just wait for the massive marketing campaign once the release date will be announced.
