News on Halo, “New, Announced, Unannounced” and “Unexpected” Xbox One Games Coming at E3 – Phil Spencer

Microsoft Game Studios head honcho Phil Spencer shared today on Twitter some very interesting information on what we can expect  (or not expect, apparently) from Microsoft’s Xbox One lineup at E3 in June:

Halo news will be coming at E3. 343i has a great plan in place, will be cool to share with everyone.

E3 planning is looking good, will have a lineup of new, announced, unannounced and hopefully unexpected.

When asked if there’ll be “megaton” news he gave a slightly vague answer:

Hard to calibrate people’s idea of a megaton, was KI last year a megaton to you?

He also mentioned that improvements will show with the second and third waves of Xbox One games, as working with a whole new platform isn’t an easy task.

Launch teams did a nice job, shipping a game with new platform isn’t easy. 2nd/3rd wave of games have a benefit that will show.

This definitely sounds promising, especially considering that Microsoft hasn’t exactly been stellar at E3 in the past couple years.

Spencer mentioned a while ago that this year’s E3 conference will be once again centered on games, and that sounds as a good signal that Redmond’s giant learned from previous mistakes (especially from the 2013 edition) and will offer a show worth remembering this June.
