Media Create and Famitsu software and hardware sales from last week have been released today, which will give us a good look into the overall sales of last week’s Japanese market. Here’s the software charts between March 3rd and March 9th.
As usual, new titles are bolded and lifetime sales are in parenthesis. (Heads up, Famitsu combines 3DS and PS Vita sales, and includes any bundle sales in their overall numbers.)

PS4 sales have dropped considerably in Japan since last week, being cut nearly in half for both Media Create and Famitsu. We know that there’s plenty of supply in the country, so most likely it’s due to lack of software. Meanwhile, 3DS sales have stayed the same while PS Vita sales actually went up this week. Finally, Wii U sales have also stayed the same but are pretty low, also due to that same lack of software.
Soul Sacrifice Delta has made its Japanese debut and sales are amazing but aren’t bad either; the game still made it to the number one spot for Media Create and Famitsu so that’s saying something. 3DS games continue to appear the most out of any single console but combined overall Sony platforms have slightly more games on the list.
Unfortunately, no Wii U titles made it to the top ten; however, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze made number 15 on Media Create while four Wii U titles made it to Famitsu’s top 30. Knack was the only PS4 title to make it to the top ten list.
