You Can Now Get Xbox One and Forza Motorsport 5 For $400 on Amazon Thanks to Price Drop and Promotion (UPDATED)

Update: looks like the code’s validity lasted only for half a hour. If anyone managed to grab the sweet deal, congratulations, otherwise, $450 with a game is still a very good price.

The original article can be found below:

As the price of the Xbox One has been dropped pretty much by every major US retailer to $450, you can now get it even cheaper thanks to a promotion on

As discovered by NeoGAF user potam, you can use the promotional code XIAMAZON to get the Xbox One for $400 plus taxes. The sweetest thing is that it still comes with a download code for Forza Motorsport 5.

That’s definitely the very definition of a sweet deal, even if we don’t know for how long the promotional code will be valid, so if you want the Xbox One at that steal price, you may want to act quickly.

Considering that this effectively drops the price of Microsoft’s new console under that of the PS4, it’ll be interesting to see if Sony will feel the need to react in any way. Isn’t competition a wonderful thing?

It is. They left it up only 30 minutes, until they noticed what was probably a mistake.

lol desperate move for Amazon! Gotta move this piece of shit xbone!

How is the XB 1 a piece of shit? how many hrs have you put into the xb 1 for you to make this judgement? A console that has the 2nd highest sales in video game history is a piece of shit?

      • James Fitzgerald

Um yeah it doesn’t have the second highest sales not sure where you got that load of shit from but if any console has the 1 spot that would be the Wii and second would go to the PS4 as its sold faster and more than the xbone.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. When Infamous wasn’t even supposed to be a system seller managed a 106% increase in the UK from following a 70% increase from the week prior.

Yes, the PS4 does seem to be destroying the XB1 pretty much everywhere. I can see MS working very hard at the moment working on their CLOUD based server solution to negate the power deficit as thats pretty much the only area where they can do it. Of course, no doubt Sony knows this and will be looking into it as well but of course, they can do it at their leisure.

Taking out the Kinect as a mandatory device would be the quickest way to salvage what’s left of this generation. Literally it could mean a difference 20 million units sold. Right now I see them selling only 40 mil by the end of the geneartion but if they take out the Kinect I can see them selling 50-60 mil.

The Cloud? There is only one Cloud worth mentioning in video games. And that is Cloud Strife!

Not that I am a fan of him, anyhow. I prefer Sephiroth. ^_^

Couldn’t you say the sales of Infamous are more to do with lack of games available for the system, and people just buying any game to justify their purchase? I’m not sure I can agree with the idea that sales of Infamous prove that it’s a better game than the XB1’s offerings.

Side note: I don’t own any of the two systems, so I’m not siding with anyone here.
