Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Video Shows How The Game’s Impressive Visuals Were Created

You could say many things about Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, but you can’t say that it doesn’t look extremely pretty for an open world game.

If you want to know how all that visual glitz was created, Konami provided a new video showcasing a behind the scenes glimpse at several different elements like performance capture, modeling, texturing and effects.

You can check it out below, and wonder about what the FOX Engine will deliver with The Phantom Pain next year.

    Lovely looking game on the PS4 but the intro of the game looked better than the gameplay i thought + i HATE Snakes new voice :-/ + i wanted to use L1 for Aim and R1 to Fire( + ‘X’ to drive etc etc) + Why didn’t they include the MGS:GZ App gameplay in the game to?(like MGS:PW) I would rather of built up my base/sent people on missions from my game than start up the App(which is impossible to play on a Smartphone because it looks so small) :-/
    Apart from all that i LOVED the game! LoL:D

    show me all you must, but that doesn’t justify asking 40 bucks for a 2 hour game.
    oh and all of developers go to all these things, they just don’t show it to you like this.

        more like a tenner, not for me anyway, i watched enough (videos of it) not the get lost when i get phantom pain.

          fair enough..I won’t be getting it for awhile though since I don’t have PS4 yet.

      I probably logged more hours into this game than any other PS4 title. I thought it was great! But I can see how people would be skeptical. I was at first but as soon as I took control of Snake any regrets I had about spending $30 on a short game went away.

      I was just bummed that there wasn’t a platinum trophy. It took me longer to get every Metal Gear trophy than it did Infamous SS.

        that’s true, i know replay-ability very well, i’ve played gta iv for 3000+ hours and that’s not counting multiplayer , but the world was so big and so rich and there was so much to do, not to mention all the crazy mods that were available for it.
        i always have this problems with the game releases, some of them are just instant buy, you get them and you play them for weeks, but what do you do when there is none of these around? well i get crazy and try to find something to keep me playing it, was playing ac4 untill recently, i was gonna play mgs untill watchdogs is out (don’t have ps4 to get infamous sadly) but i just don’t see myself playing this game for meaty amount of time.
        that’s not say the game is not any good, i know it’s awesome but i wish they would make us wait abit longer and gave us some more content to play with, damn it i hate not having something to play, i wish i could afford an xbox 360 and play some of their exclusives untill i get my ps4 and some games coming out for it.
        i’m gonna bite and get this because the lack of good games out there but i hope these kind of games don’t become trend and everybody decides to do them because that’s nothing good for the gamers.

          Yeah I completely know what you mean. It would have been nice if Konami released a multiplayer mode with Ground Zeroes. I wouldn’t have even hesitated to buy it. I loved the multiplayer on MGS 3 & 4!

    Amazing how some people thought this “demo” was a great game. I found it to be immensely boring and repetitive. The full game will likely be the first Metal Gear I skip buying. :(
