Driveclub: All the 18 Cars in the New Trailer Identified – Full List and Screenshots Inside

by on May 2, 2014 10:30 AM 22

The latest Driveclub trailer left many impressed due to its visual fidelity, but Sony Computer Entertainment and Evolution Studio gave no real breakdown of the cars showcased. Maybe it was even intentional, to allow us to discover some of them ourselves.

A few are quite obvious, but many are definitely more obscure, so I decided to pick up my petrolhead detective lens and check out basically every frame to identify every single car included in the video.

Here’s the full list:

  • Ferrari F12 Berlinetta
  • Pagani Zonda R
  • BAC Mono
  • Aston Martin V12 Vantage S
  • RUF Rt 12 R
  • RUF CTR 3 Clubsport
  • Hennessey Venom GT
  • Koenigsegg Agera R
  • Gumpert Apollo R
  • Audi R8 Coupé
  • McLaren 12C Coupé
  • GTA Spano
  • Savage Rivale
  • Ariel Atom
  • Alfa Romeo 4C
  • Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupè Black Series
  • Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupè
  • Marussia B2

Update: looks like the list got the stamp of approval by Game Director Paul Rustchynsky:

@Abriael You know what, I think you nailed them all, good work!

Some definitely weren’t easy, but below you can see the result of our research, with screenshots from the trailer of each car (some of the galleries have additional high resolution screenshots where available) the official website of each of the rides pictured, and a real life picture for the sake of comparison.

The trailer included 18 supercars, from the most obvious  Ferrari F12 Berlinetta to rare treats for which you have to really squint like the GTA Spano or the Marussia B2. Some were displayed multiple times in different colors (like the RUF Rt 12 R or the McLaren MP4 12C Coupé, but they were still the same model.

Quite beautiful, aren’t they?

You can conclude this lovely visual tour by checking out the full trailer just below. Evolution Studios promised to reveal new cars down the line, and I’m sure I’m not the only one that can’t wait to see what exotic rides they have in store for us. Given some of the choices showcased above, they definitely have an eye for rare supercars.

      lmao

  • Stu Pearson

There is car damage in this game right?

    • Sticky Notes

I’m pretty sure there is… but look how beautiful these cars are! I hope I don’t take too much damage.

    • Giuseppe Nelva

There is, but it’s yet unclear how much damage there is. We saw small deformation and scratches so far.

    • They Call Me Senpai

There is, but I think that Evolution said that it won’t affect performance.

  • Sticky Notes

    Aston Martin V12 Vantage S
    My life is complete.

  • They Call Me Senpai

The Agera R and Marussia are so sexy, and i’m talking about the in-game versions. Evolution did a great job at recreating these cars, if the game were 60fps, they would have had to downgrade the graphics and details of the cars to make it possible.

I just can’t wait to play it, it’s looking really good for an arcade/simulator hybrid.

  • Mikail

i hope they included La ferrari

  • xmod3563

No Japanese cars? No American cars? Hmmm…

    • Gamist

Well, if true, the developer is from Europe. But still, I would like to see the GTR and NSX.

      • zeuanimals

RX7 FC and an AE86 for me. Every racing game, I’ve done a downhill with my friend and we’d simulate the best Initial D race.

      • Jessenia Lopez

I personally think the GTR is by far one of the ugliest cars I have ever seen

        • Gamist

Aww, what a shame. I love the GTR.

        • Flytrap

Nooooooooo. Well OK maybe we can agree that beauty truly resides in the eye of the be-holder. I’m a Porsche guy myself, but income dictates I stick with Nissan, but not the GTR :(

    • Giuseppe Nelva

      Hennessey is american :D

      • zeuanimals

Meh. The Viper GT is a heavily modified Lotus Exige, and Lotus is a UK manufacturer, but the Viper is an entirely different beast. So I guess it counts, but when you think American, you think Muscle.

No 68 Firebird or the 67 Camaro since most racing games don’t feature the Firebird :(, no 89 RX7 FC, and I’m gonna be disappointed.

    • tcnitsni

This is only the cars that were visible in the latest trailer. It’s not the full list of cars to be in the game.

  • Dennis Crosby

Do anyone know the official number of cars that will be in Drive Club

  • craious

but arent those cars r more or less ftrom need 4 speed rivals

  • Elias Harbo

I think that the Mercedes C class AMG is a CLS. It just looks much more like a CLS to me.
