Here’s How PlayStation, Xbox, Media Molecule and More Celebrate Germany’s World Cup Victory

Germany just won the soccer/football world cup against Argentina and game developers and publishers are joining the celebrations (whether they’re German or not) on their social media accounts, involving the brands and characters that we all know and love.

The funny part is that most of them probably had both options ready at hand, but I guess we can let that slide.

Below you can see how prominent game publishers and developers are congratulating the German team for its victory. We’ll keep the post updated if any more will surface. It’s probably going to be a long night.

One of the worst WC in History,None the less GG Germany.Argentinas Defense was half asleep

    • Bjørn Bjoernsen

…Ok? I recall most people saying it could be the best. It’s certainly the best one I’ve ever seen.

    • Agustin Freyre

Omg lol what!? Hahaha. It was by far the best. An insane goal count, lots of surprises, weak teams fought as lions against powerfull countries, the 7-1 against Brazil, and Argentina (Brazils all time rivals) got to the final in their own home.
Besides, Argentinas defense was really solid, Germany barely got near the goalkeeper and the goal was kinda lucky (yet Gotze scored with style)
Do you have any idea about what you are saying?

    • André Rocha

I agree. It had the worst organization, some stadiums were not even finished, access to them were a joke also. When it comes to the referees this was actually the worst WC, lots of errors, brazil was carried away to the semi-finals they shouldn’t even got past the group stage. In the end the better team won.

      • Bjørn Bjoernsen

How on earth was this worse than 2002 (or any other WC for that matter) when it came to refereeing? South Korea was pretty much handed two major victories by the referee. This was also the first world cup to not have Goal Line Technology, never mind that referees the last two years are something else than the referees that came before.

As for the stadiums, I’m really more concerned about the matches. They looked good on TV, is all I know.

  • Cassive

I didn’t even bother watching the match, I knew Germany were going to win. I wanted England to win (for obvious reason) but as usual they let us down, so then I wanted Brazil to win, but after they got knocked out I lost interest in the World Cup

    • Solid Snake

It was a really close tense match. You speak as though Germany had an easy victory. But that’s not the case, Argentina came so close to winning it was unreal.

      • Boerewors

It was never really close. Football is a simple game. Twenty-two men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans win 😉

          classic =)

          • Delsin Rowe

            where are you from bro?

          • Boerewors

I’m actually from South Africa, but I live in Holland for a good part of the year. Our family does a lot of business in Europe, so we have an office here. But I’ve got Dutch blood on both my mom’s and my dad’s side and I almost feel as Dutch as I feel South African.

          • Delsin Rowe

  • Jarbloko

    good for germany 😀

  • erMonezza

    Hypocrites.
The devs and their picture would be relevant if they’d post them before the match and not after.
Like this, feels just like ‘sucking up’.

Anyways, good for Germany. It was a good game.

  • The Preacher

Anybody think Germany’s Coach Joachim Loew looks like Mark Cerny.
