Naughty Dog Dev Admits The Last of Us On PS4 Has “A Lot of Bugs;” Agility 2 Requires a Patch and More

The Last of Us Remastered had a very successful launch, but it’s doubtless that the game suffers from quite a few nagging issues, especially on its multiplayer portion. Yet Naughty Dog developers are no strangers to owning up to this kind of problems, and Multiplayer Designer Quentin Cobb openly admitted that there’s a lot of work to do on the official PlayStation forums, also promising that the team is hard at work on ironing out the kinks.

We recognize that we have a lot of bugs to fix and trust me, we are working on them. Many of these bugs require a patch which requires several weeks to release. Multiple patches are in the works to fix these bugs and matchmaking overall quality. I will try to keep you all up to date as much as I can. Thanks for all the feedback, it helps a lot!

One of the issues brought up by players is  related with the popular perk Agility 2. Apparently footsteps aren’t properly silenced, allowing enemy players to hear you. Cobb mentioned that a live update won’t be enough to fix that one:

That’s going to require a patch unfortunately.

Luckily not all news are bad, and yesterday’s live update released to partially fix the overlong matchmaking times seems to have given good results, as mentioned by Naughty Dog itself over twitter:

We pushed Live Update 1.01.012 for #TheLastOfUs Remastered earlier & seeing vastly improved matchmaking times. Still working on more updates.

So far so good. Hopefully Naughty Dog’s labor of love will soon bear fruit, and players will be able to enjoy this masterpiece even more than they are already.
