The Witcher 3’s PC Patch 1.05 and PS4/Xbox One Patch 1.04: Release Estimates and Details Revealed

on May 30, 2015 12:09 PM

The saga of the patching of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt continues, and today we get more information about the upcoming patch 1.05 for PC and 1.04 for consoles.

Yesterday Community Coordinator Marcin Momot mentioned that a hotfix on Monday would have solved the issue that causes XP not to be assigned for certain quests, but today he disclosed in the official forums that the fix might actually come in the full patch 1.05 for PC, which will be released on Tuesday or Wednesday.

“That’s correct. It’s getting fixed next week. We were trying to release a hotfix on Monday but since the 1.05 on PC is coming right after that, we might just release 1.05 and include the XP fix in there as well. That will happen most likely Tuesday/Wednesday.

We do not stop working. We are trying to fix everything. Thank you for your understanding.”

According to Momot, the patch will fix most bugged quests, including the infamous Pyres of Novigrad.

“1.05 is coming after the weekend. This patch will address majority of bugged quests.”

“The Pyres of Novigrad quest will be fixed in the upcoming patch, both on consoles and on PC. Sorry about the delay.”

Moving on to consoles, Momot mentioned that the next patch should come between a week and a week and a half down the line:

Momot previously mentioned that the microstutter issue was on the team’s radar, and today we get confirmation that they’re trying to solve it with 1.04

An issue that causes the wrong total play time on PS4 is also being looked at:

Finally, we learn that the 30 frames per second lock on Xbox One released with yesterday’s 1.03 patch is not optional, and there’s no switch to activate and deactivate it.
