The Witcher 3’s First Expansion Heart of Stone “Almost Ready;” Good News Coming for Gwent Lovers

During a The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt panel broadcasted from PAX Prime in Seattle, CD Projekt RED’s Travis Currit mentioned a couple interesting things about the future of the game.

First of all, we learn that the first expansion “Heart of Stone” is “almost ready, and shaping up really nicely.” As you may already know, Heart of Stone will come out in October, and will include over ten hours of gameplay.

Secondly, asked if CD Projekt would ever release a stand-alone version of the in-game collectible card game Gwent, Currit mentioned that he’d pass that request to the development team, but then he teased that there are “good news” coming for those who love Gwent.

Your guess is as good as mine on the nature of those news, but as a Gwent lover myself, I can’t wait to hear them.

  • Could it be their own Gwent Multiplayer since they did shut down the unofficial multiplayer really fast

What about us gwent haters? I think there is way too much focus on gwent. The game constantly beats you over the head with it, with its slew of gwent-only missions, making it difficult to ignore. Seriously, if I wanted to play a card game, I would not have fired up my gaming console, ffs.

      Lol… Awesome

I thought i was the only one not interested in Gwent.

I hate it too. Thankfully there’s trainers on the PC version so you just auto win every game. Yeah it’s cheating, but I have zero interest in card games like this and I have no desire to spend huge amounts of time to learn this.

Why are you so bothered by gwent quests? It’s gwent after all, you hate it. 🙂

Trying to secretly get a whole magic the gathering thing going, so that they can make more money is my guess why they keep pushing it down people throats.

I hate gwent with a passion. I haven’t play a single game since I 100% completed this game on my
      first run.

I haven’t played a single game, period. Don’t care about 100%-ing, so that worked out nicely.
