Marvelous Entertainment is well known for including a whole lot of fanservice in some of its games, including the recent Senran Kagura: Estival Versus for PS4 and PS Vita, and Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni, that releases tomorrow in Japan for PS Vita.
Apparently, YouTube is having no more of all of that skin on display, and today they terminated Marvelous’ account completely.
The “This account has been suspended due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s policy against spam, gaming, misleading content, or other Terms of Service violations.” mention is a generic one that can indicate a wide range of violations, including sexual content, which is of course the only caveat that applies to Marvelous.
It’s not the first time that the developer and publisher incurs into YouTube’s wrath, like in the case of Senran Kagura Bon Appétit!‘s opening video, but until now only specific videos were banned, not the whole channel.
Due to YouTube’s terms of service, Marvelous won’t be allowed to use its channel, or any other, or even to create another channel, unless the decision is reversed following an appeal.
For old times’ sake, below you can see the opening animation of Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni, which is among the many videos made unavailable with the termination of Marvelous’ account. Be warned, it may be considered not safe for work in some workplaces.
Update: the measure appears to have been reversed, as Marvelous’ account has been restored after a blackout lasted several hours.
