In the First Hour of Mass Effect: Andromeda You Get to Shoot Things in the Face

The upcoming chapter of the Mass Effect franchise, Mass Effect: Andromeda, is still mostly shrouded by mystery, but looks like the game hits the ground running, as mentioned by BioWare Lead Producer Cameron Lee, who is actually currently at work on the studio’s unannounced new IP.

This last tweet at least tells us that the game is playable on PC, since that’s the platform that uses executables.

Unfortunately Lee could not confirm that what he played was the full prologue, so we’re still in the dark about that.

Hupefully, we’ll hear more about the game soon. Personally, I can’t wait to fly in the Mass Effect universe again.

I am excited for this game. I hope that they can implement multiplayer in the same way as it was implemented in ME3.

This series, hits the right spot for me.

Same. That multiplayer was incredible. So many hundreds of hours of sweet, sweet Batarian blades to the face.

Agreed. Any significant changes would be playing with fire. Heck, you can STILL play ME3 online. Every few months my friend and I load it up and say, there’s no way people are still playing this. Then, sure enough, we get a couple extra party members every time. ME3 and Gears of War 3 are easily the best coop experiences I’ve ever had. So much fun.

    Hope this doesn’t get delayed.

I’m still hyped for this franchise. It’s one of the few games that actually felt like you went on a long journey by the time it was over. Such great character writing. It’ll be hard to top the past crews.

I dunno I loved the mass effecr trilogy however I thought the main storyline itself was kind of boring it started off strong but turned very meh towards the end of the series

The mass effect universe itself was beyond interesting full of interesting characters I particularly loved how each race essentially has its own story you could make a game out of id love a game showing how the geth came to be. Or a game showing the events leading up to the solarians releasing the genophage on the krogan or even the first contact war I could go on and on.

But i found the mass effect universe to be far more interesting than the main storyline.

Been itching for a good space rpg for sometime; looking forward to this.

I have a feeling this game will miss the 2016 release.

From what I’ve read…it sounds like it’s going to be more like Mass Effect, exploration wise.

While I enjoyed 2 and 3….the first game has a special place in my heart.

Gawsh !! show us the gameplay …its ok the game is almost finished & release this year why keep secret its like we gonna rage over fake graphic or something ? Geezus ๐Ÿ™‚

      l guess they’re waiting for E3

I know Bioware has the potential to make this the best Mass Effect ever created.
But EA has me disliking them more and more with each recent release they are involved with.
Hardline (which is decent but horrible as a Battlefield game), Battlefront (NoCotent-Front), Mass Effect 3 (which was amazing but lacked dialogue choices, look it up).

I’m just going to be a bit cautious and keep an eye on the game, here’s hoping it’s everything I want it to be.

Um…no. everything that you execute are executables. I am a software engineer and we do not reserve the term executable to the files in windows with the .exe extension as you imply.

Well depends i guess how long they have been working on the game? During or right after Dragon Age? I really hope it comes out this year, ME is still one of my fav franchise, having played ME2 and 3 like several times each ๐Ÿ™‚
