During Sony’s press conference at CES 2016, CEO Kazuo Hirai talked about the PlayStation 4, definiting it a benchmark in terms of collaboration, engineering creativity, artistry and experiential design, promising better and more exciting gaming experiences.
Sony’s innovation has inspired the creativity of enthusiasts, gamers, developers, and publishers, who are devoted to the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 is the embodiment of those things that e value as an organization: powerful technology, advancement ahead of the curve… PlayStation 4 has built a very passionate community.
Of course, we are in constant dialog with that community, listening to their ideas, and responding to them with new, better and more exciting gaming experiences. And we’re thrilled to see just how effectively PS4 has encouraged sharing, created a dynamic portal to games and entertainment, and immersed gamers in compelling narrative experiences.

Hirai-san also mentioned that with the latest sales figures released today, there is one slot machine for every citizen in Las Vegas, and that’s “a whole lot of gaming,” but there are 59 PS4 units for every person in the city, and “that is seriously a lot of gaming.”
Lastly, Hirai-san explained that among other things, the PS4 and its many features and technology reinforce his belief that Sony can be “a playground where technology meets creativity.”
