Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Ships Over 1.3 Million Copies Worldwide

Bandai Namco announced today with a press release that Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 shipped over 1.3 million copies worldwide since its launch in Japan on February 4th.

We also get a breakdown by region:

  • Japan: 80,000
  • Asia: 84,000
  • Europe: 550,000
  • North America: 620,000

Summing all of those up, the result is 1,334,000 copies in the initial shipment, which is a quite respectable amount, even for a massively popular franchise like Naruto.

The press release also mentioned that the developer will offer several time limited special events as part of the game’s online mode.

    • Netronader

Where is it up to now? Cant be far off I stopped watching because of all the filler ill pick it up once its finished

      • Bdock3601

        It’s still filler

      • HyperTsunaz

Its basically like a retarded remake of the first naruto right now, in their eternal tsukuyomi dreams.

    • tylerc23

Won’t end until this Summer, possibly the Fall

    • miniwar monger

Read the manga ! 100% Filler free : D and already ended: Naruto in the end finds the One Piece and becomes King of Ninjas…or so.

      • HyperTsunaz

I already know the story, i just want to watch the anime end.

  • John

Thinking about getting it, even though i know nothing about Naruto. But the gameplay looks awesome.

You should check out the show. It’s on most streaming services. Stick with it (it starts lame for a few episodes) and keep a controller nearby so you can skip ahead a minute every now and then when they explain what happened to death, even though it was already obvious what happened without an explanation. That gets better later on, but it’s always a problem.

    • Netronader

Try watching it just look up the filler episodes online and skip them theyre not canon so you wont miss out on anything. But the games are awesome arcade fighting goodness.

    • tylerc23

You should get it. I just finished it and it was very good. Here’s what you should do. Go on YouTube and watch Naruto Storm 1 – 3 cutscenes and you will be caught up within 20 minutes

  • name

and they listen mainly to the feedback from japan, neat -_-

One of the most overrated anime and anime game ever. The anime killed itself when the whole war started, the animation itself died at Pain’s arc and the games are like most sports games: Minor changes with each game, has an addictive hook, but in reality it’s quite mediocre and bland.

    • Eric Davenport

Sport games have an addictive hook? XD

  • LallaZOhh

On PC it’s 40$ right now it better be worth it .

    • Chris Windley

PC version is broken man, Its locked to 30FPS and it has stuttering issues to boot. Make sure you know what your getting into man

  • OtakuDom

It’s weird that the game is the way to go because the anime is on permenant filler

    • Netronader

The real way to go is the manga if you want to know how it ends.

      • OtakuDom

Already own most of the volumes I just wanted to see it animated

    • Ravelle

I take long breaks between arcs so I can just binge them and leave out any filler episodes, I fell off somewhere in the Ninja War I believe.

  • Rad4Life

Nice numbers. How are these games?

    • tylerc23

I enjoy them a lot especially the Boss Battles. If you were to get them, stick to Storm 1 2 3 and 4. Not the in between ones. You could probably skip Storm 1 if you wanted to too because Storm 2 goes over what happened in it. Storm 2 may be the best one, I would say Storm 4 is second best.

If you like Naruto and like/dont mind mechanicaly light fighting games they might be for you. They look amazing in motion though, far beyond the animation quality the anime offers.
