Developer Coatsink has announced that its stylish 2.5D platformer Shu is finally arriving on PlayStation Vita on May 23, 2017. In addition to the game’s PS Vita announcement, Coatsink also announced free DLC is coming to the game, on all platforms.

For those that don’t know: Shu launched on PS4 and PC late last year to a decently positive reception — we personally awarded it a 7 out of 10 in our review. Here’s an overview of the game via its Steam page:

When the great and terrible Storm destroys Shu’s village, he embarks on a desperate journey to survive. On his travels he’ll encounter stranded villagers; survivors of the devastation that need his help. In return for his assistance, these peculiar characters will grant Shu unique special abilities that he can use to traverse the treacherous path ahead.

Shu and the villagers’ only hope is to work together, in search of sanctuary – and a way to stop the Storm. Can you outrun the end of world?

Shu notably features 15 expansive levels across 5 diverse lands, collectibles, 10 recruitable character with unique abilities, and an original soundtrack.

As for the new DLC, the first DLC update is out now on Steam, and includes the following three new levels: Beneath the Ruins, No Turning Back, and Depths of Discovery.

On May 23rd, a further three levels will be launched on Steam, alongside the release of all six levels on PS4. As you may have noticed May 23rd is also the PS Vita release date: this version of the game will not only also have access to all-new DLC levels, but will include the exclusive trophy area: The Refuge.

Shu costs $11.99 USD. Below, you can preview the upcoming DLC via a newly release trio of screenshots:
