Today, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that its upcoming PS4 exclusive New Minna No Golf (New Hot Shots Golf) will get a closed beta in May.
The beta will run between May 26th and May 28th, with the purpose of test the server load.
Interestingly, the press release from the Japanese arm of the company mentions that the beta will be performed worldwide, but for now the western branches of Sony Interactive Entertainment have been silent on the release of the game, that will launch in Japan on August 31st. This probably means that information on a western localization might be coming soon, but we’ll have to wait and see.
The application for Japan starts today via tickets that can be grabbed on the Japanese PlayStation Store. If you don’t want to wait for a western announcement, you can find the free ticket at this link. Keep in mind that you’ll need a Japanese PSN account, and if you don’t have one, you can find out how to make and maintain it within our handy guide.
The application period ends on May 7th, and those selected will receive a mail by May 11th.
If there are too many applications, Sony will select participants randomly, but all who apply will receive the bear costume that will be usable with the (Japanese) release version of the game. You can see it below.
