2K Games Announces New Observer Mode Coming to Evolve for Easier Livestreams and Commentary

Since its release last month, 2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios’ Evolve has made waves with its “Monster vs. Hunters” gameplay and proving to be pretty popular on streaming platforms like Twitch, with the developer and publisher adding new features to support the community.

2K and Turtle Rock announced through a press release that the multiplayer-oriented 4v1 title will be adding a new Observer Mode, where spectators can be added to online matches to both view matches in progress, alongside also being able to livestream games, add commentary, and more without the need for additional software and equipment to do so.

Observer Mode will also provide spectating users with several abilities during a viewing, such as being able to jump between character cameras of both the Hunters and the Monster, minimizing the in-game HUD for better visibility, and even better – a DaisyCam to follow everyone’s favorite Trapjaw as she goes about her merry way in games.

While no specific release date or window has been given for Observer Mode, 2K Games detailed that the new mode will be coming to all platforms free in the near future.

Evolve is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC – you can check out a trailer showing Observer Mode in action below:
