Today, Twirlbound's 3D Action Adventure Game Pine went live on Square Enix Collective. Pine is currently in development for PC, and if a crowdfunding campaign allows for it, it will also be developed for PS4 and Xbox One.

What is Pine?

Pine is a game that adapts to you. Using advanced artificial intelligence systems, the game recognizes your patterns and style of play, and makes its creatures and world evolve to you specifically.

Take the role of Hue, a scared but brave adolescent belonging to one of the last remaining human tribes on the island of Albamare, fighting for the survival of their species. Find your way to a new home in an amazing adventure!

The theme of the game is said to be heavily inspired by the the Zelda series, while the dance-like combat is similar to what you would find in Bloodborne. Further, Pine "adds implements an advanced system of AI, borrowing ideas and mechanics from the nemesis system of Shadow of Mordor and Fable's dynamic progression.

Pine also boats things such as active weathering, an open-world full of mountains, plains, forests, beaches and swamps, and an ever-evolving population of animals that will physically and mentally change/evolve depending on how you interact with them.

As you may have noticed the game is being published by Square Enix Collective. What is Square Enix Collective? Well essentially, it’s Square’ helping small teams build awareness for their games by helping them publish. The studio retains full creative control and rights to the IP.
