Excitement is running high for the next game in the Metal Gear Solid series, Rising. Unless you've been under a rock for last year, you know that motion controls and 3D output are the biggest trends in the industry at the moment. GI caught up with producer Shigenobu Matsuyama to find out whether or not we'd see either of these in the upcoming entry:

"3D is not officially confirmed yet. What we showed at TGS was just a referential presentation. We have not officially confirmed if we will support motion control either, as it is very difficult to manage such precise accuracy of action and speed that MGS Rising’s controls will require. Both 3D and motion control features are worth considering, though."

Personally, I'd like to see the game without them, so that this big fad can be on its way. Metal Gear Solid: Rising will launch sometime next year for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PS3. The game will feature fast and stylish action in direct contrast with the stealth and espionage action the series is known for.
