505 Games recently named its new company president and it’s none other than Neil Ralley. Ralley previously served as the General Manager of 2K Games International for eleven years and helped release titles like Borderlands, Bioshock, and Mafia. Ralley ended up leaving the position last year in 2016.
Ralley spoke about his new position and talked about where he thinks 505 Games can go in the future saying the following:
505 Games is at a very exciting stage in their development as a global publisher. The team have come a long way in their 11 year history and I know that they are poised for even greater things. I am extremely excited to join the team to continue to build on the foundations they have laid and help take them to the next level.
If you’re unfamiliar with 505 Games, they’re one of the fastest growing publishers in the industry. Over the last few years, 505 Games has published titles such as Virginia, Abzû, Payday 2, Terraria, and many, many others. Additionally, 505 Games served as distributor for one of the most popular games in the world, Rocket League.
As far as future titles go, Remedy Entertainment announced earlier this week that its upcoming new game code named “P7” will be published by 505 Games. As part of this deal, 505 Games agreed to fund development of the game with an investment of €7.75 million, which equates to $8.5 million in the United States.
505 Games has gained a lot of steam as a publisher over these past few years and if this new deal with Remedy is any indication, it looks like things could keep getting better under Neil Ralley.
