This Week in Rock Band DLC: Limp Bizkit

on October 1, 2011 1:00 PM

Usually I put a little blurb here about how excited I am for the band coming to Rock Band this week.  I will refrain from saying anything about this week’s band: Limp Bizkit, mostly because everything about them that can be said, for better or worse, has likely been said already.  While I enjoyed them to a small extent in Middle School, just like, well everyone else in my middle school, they no longer have that appeal for me personally.  However, if you feel like reliving the origins of nu-metal or early 2000’s rap-rock, then this week’s Rock Band DLC is for you.

Coming this week to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii:

  • Limp Bizkit – “Gold Cobra”
  • Limp Bizkit – “Nookie”*
  • Limp Bizkit – “My Way”
  • Limp Bizkit – “Re-Arranged”

As always, each song will cost $1.99 in real currency, or 160 Microsoft Spacebucks if bought individually.  The four songs will also be sold as a pack, the “Limp Bizkit Pack 01,” for $6.99, or 560 Microsoft points.  The tracks marked with an * will be upgradable to Pro-Guitar/Pro-Bass for an additional $0.99 (or 80 Microsoft points).

If these songs aren’t up your alley, or even if they are, and you’re looking for something new to play, check the Rock Band Network in the Rock Band  store.  Every week a slew of more obscure artists (or sometimes even very popular ones) release their music onto the Network.  You might be surprised at who is on there.

Scott just graduated from Law School. But he didn't let that stop him from gaming, a hobby that he has stuck with ever since he received his NES at age 5. His favorites are Metal Gear Solid, OutRun, Half-Life, Deus Ex, Ratchet and Clank and most recently, the Mass Effect series.
