A New Nintendo 3DS Update is Available; 8th Update With Nothing Substantial

on January 19, 2016 4:55 PM

If you are looking forward to grabbing Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam for Nintendo 3DS, consider getting the latest Nintendo 3DS update out of the way. Launching yesterday, Update 10.4.0-29U brings noting of note, including only “[f]urther improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.”

For those keeping track this is the eighth update in a row without anything substantial. What does this mean? You can’t really tell. Perhaps Nintendo is winding down the Nintendo 3DS to the final UI iteration. On the other hand, these small updates may be the ground work for upcoming infrastructure changes, notably My Nintendo and Nintendo Accounts coming this year. Leave your best guesses in the comments.
