If you don’t know what I’m referring to, you’re welcome.

Anyway, glorious news from Andreasang; they’re reporting that Square-Enix has just put up a site today for a sequel Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime on the Nintendo 3DS. I don’t know how many people played Rocket Slime on the DS, but it was a fantastic fantastic game that was crazy original and stupid cute. Yeah, it was pathetically easy, but WHO CARES, you had such amazing scenes as above, where when you save in the church, all the religious Slimes you’ve rescued so far sing along to the Dragon Quest saving theme!

This newest version looks to be pirate-themed, as you’ll apparently be able to fight enemies on the sea aboard your very own custom-built ocean vessel. On top of that, there’s a two to four-player multiplayer mode, with support for Wi-Fi and Street Pass. With a Japan release date of Winter 2011, I certainly hope this one comes to the US by next year; we missed out on the first entry for the Game Boy Advance, so we better get this one to make up for that blunder.

His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
