Ubisoft has announced that they will be releasing Animus Project Update 1.0 for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood on December 14th for free for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The Animus Project Update 1.0 will include a new game mode and new map for multiplayer. The game mode, Advanced Alliance, will make the original Alliance Mode a bit more difficult by adding some extra challenge for players. Advanced Alliance will be tougher to test your assassination skills and will reward teams for using stealth techniques for hunting targets. The new map, Mont Saint-Michel, will take place on the rocky tidal island of Normandy in France and its narrow streets, high-perched bell tower and multi-leveled architecture will be the perfect place for all of your wildest hunting excursions to take place.

“We are very thrilled to be able to offer the first Multiplayer DLC for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood for absolutely free,” said Sebastien Puel, executive producer, Ubisoft Montreal. “We wanted to say thank you to our fans for making Brotherhood such a huge success its opening week. We are very proud of the unique and innovative Multiplayer mode it offers, and hope the fans enjoy the new content.”
