Activision Announces Call of Duty World eSports League With a $3 Million Prize Pool

Activision announced today that they are opening up a worldwide eSports league solely for their best-selling franchise Call of Duty, aptly named Call of Duty World League.

The eSports league will have a prize pool of $3 million, with the Call of Duty Championship being moved to Fall 2016 to support its new seasonal structure. Naturally the league will also be supporting the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops III when it releases this November.
