Activision Blizzard Acquires Major League Gaming

Activision Blizzard recently announced the acquisition of Major League Gaming, the latter which specializes in creating and streaming live gaming events, organizing professional competitions and running competitive gaming leagues.

This business deal gives the developer/publisher a foothold in the esports industry, which currently has an audience of over 100 million unique viewers and is expected to grow to 300 million viewers by 2017.
