Activision Blizzard Inc. agreed to purchase King Digital Entertainment, creator of the Candy Crush Saga, for a whopping $5.9 billion.

Activision will pay $18 a share in cash, a 16 percent premium to King Digital’s closing price of $15.54 on Monday in New York. The boards of both companies approved the transaction, according to California-based Activision studio Santa Monica.

This move unites the publishers of two major franchises, Activision with Call of Duty and King Digital with Candy Crush Saga.
