Adrian Gonzalez Hits it Out of the Park on the MLB ’12: The Show Box Art

We’ve known that Adrian Gonzalez will grace the cover of MLB ’12: The Show for a few months now, but it wasn’t until today that Sony gave us the heads up that the box art is ready to show off. The Red Sox’s Silver Slugger Award-winner looks to be in perfect form as he smacks what we’re sure is a homerun ball on the cover of this PS3-exclusive.

The cover itself pops a bit more than it has in previous years. The red makes it stand out against the blue and gray backgrounds ’11, ’10 and ’09 brought us. This is the first year since the series’ creation that it will not be available for the PlayStation 2 and the third that a Red Sox player graces the cover. The game releases March 6 for both the PS3 and Vita.
