Following yesterday’s announcement canceling the would-be MMO, World of Darkness, EVE Online developer, CCP Games, posted the second of six detailed blogs explaining in-depth about major changes to the player-centered industry that will take place to their main online game.
It creates lots of interesting gameplay around resource collection, distribution and transformation. This concept fuels not only the economy, but conflict as a whole. Since most assets can be lost, they acquire value, which takes time and effort to replace.
The game’s upcoming summer release will supposedly focus on this topic primarily.
