Age of Conan September 2011 Development Update Announces Big Things To Come

on September 30, 2011 1:30 PM

Age of Conan improved a whole lot since launch. So much that I re-reviewed it a couple weeks ago and I gave it’s current incarnation a well deserved 9.0.

Looks like there’s a lot more progress incoming, at least according to Craig Morrison, the game’s director, that posted a new lengthy development update, throwing his usual caution to the bushes, and detailing the updates to come to the game from now to the second quarter of 2012, tentative time frames included.

The most interesting bits include a whole lot of server-side upgrades that should improve the experience across the board (and allow for more inventory and quest slots, thing for which I’ll be personally very grateful), new  bosses in the Turan areas, the launch of the House of Crom dungeon, the completion of the Tier 4 raids, a new adventure pack, PvP improvements, PvP world bosses, cross-server PvP minigames, a new PvP area and a full revamp of crafting.

Unfortunately my personal favorite from the player survey (player housing) didn’t seem to make it, but there’s always the future.

There’s sure a lot to chew on and if you want more details you can go check the full version of the document on the official site.
