Age of Conan: Unchained Gains 300,000 New Players, Doubles Revenue

Funcom announced today that Age of Conan: Unchained has earned 300,000 new players after going hybrid (free to play with subscription possibility), a month ago.

Things look bright on the revenues side as well, as earnings have doubled in month, putting the game back on a successful track right in time for the first airings of the new Conan the Barbarian movie, that has visuals reportedly inspired by Age of Conan itself.

Age of Conan is one of those MMORPGs that suffered from a rather rocky start, that caused the population to dwindle considerably, but it’s also one of those cases that demonstrate that often continued support and development effort can turn the tables and create a very enjoyable experience.
