Airplanes, Mechas and Cute Girls in Guild 01

A game like Guild 01 really only is possible in Japan. I say game when I should be saying games:  Guild 01 is a collection of four (very) different games for the 3DS.

The first game is an airport simulation, called Air Porter, where the goal is to manage an airport, from luggage triage to helping planes land and depart. Talk about unique.

The second game is an item shop RPG made by Yoshiyuki Hirai a Japanese comedian. The third game is also an RPG, called Crimson Shroud and coming from the mind of Yasumi Matsuno, well known for Vagrant Story. The game takes place a thousand years ago, before magic became commonplace.

Finally the last game is by Suda 51, and stars the president of New Japan, a high school girl, fighting with a mech named the Liberation Machine to protect the world I guess.

Ah Japan, this is why I love you. Please stay the way you are, for ever. 3DS owners clearly are in for a treat. Many screens from all the different games after the jump.

Isshak started gaming with the NES, and has owned almost every console since then. He was born in Togo, grew up in Benin, studied in the US and now goes to college in France! You don't get more international than that, and his weird cultural background is reflected in his favorite games, which range from Final Fantasy to Bit Trip Runner to Dead Space to Deus Ex!
