Not very much is known about Alice: Madness Returns. We know that it is headed by designer American McGee, that it's the sequel to a game that came out more than ten years ago and that it looks like the result of what would happen if Tim Burton decided to step into video game creation.

Now we also know that the game well be getting the premium art book treatment, courtesy of Dark Horse Comics. The book will be hardcover and a healthy 184 pages of dreary and heavily stylized awesomeness. The book will be called The Art of Alice: Madness Returns and it hits store shelves on May 11th.

It will be priced at $35, but you can shave $12 off of that by pre-ordering from Amazon. I've uploaded a few pieces of concept art from the game, which may or may not resemble some of what you'll get in that thick art book. Hit the break for the rest of the concept art. Alice: Madness Returns will be available for the PS3, PC and Xbox 360 in late 2011.
