Sony has not wasted any time by announcing on the Playstation Blog a confirmation that new content is already in the works for their newly released sci-fi shooter, Starhawk.
The decision to make all map packs free was spurred by the polarizing effect that the predecessor, Warhawk’s, map packs had on the player base. “After we released three [Warhawk] expansions, our player community was pretty fractured,” said Lightbox Interactive chief, Dylan Jobe. Though he did stress that while Starhawk map packs will be free, other content will almost definitely not be. Also, all downloadable content will be influenced by player feedback.
Concept art of the map pack was also released today, specifically of the planet Cyprus; described as, “a lush, swampy world that’s home to an abandoned research facility that many years ago was responsible for researching the mysteries of Rift Energy.”
